Project 5: How to Build a Red Stone Door
Project 5: How to Build a Red Stone Door
You need a clear space 8 blocks long and 5 blocks wide. See the diagram below. The directions for building the Red Stone Door will be given row by row.
Row 1: Dig a hole 2 blocks deep along the entire row. Place one red stone in each space. Cover the six middle squares in grass blocks and leave the two outside squares open. Place pressure plates in the two center squares of the row.
Row 2: You are only working with the outside blocks for this row. Dig holes 1 block deep and put red stone in those holes too.
Row 3: In the 2 outside blocks of this row, place red stone torches on the surface. Then place 1 stone brick block on top of each torch and put red stone on top those stone brick blocks. In the third block from the left, place three sticky pistons one on top of the other. The should be on their side and aiming toward the center. Do the same for the third block from the right. In the 2 center blocks, place six stone brick blocks as shown in the picture to form your door.
Row 4: Do the same as you did with row 2.
Row 5: Do the same as you did with row 1.
To open the door, step on any of the pressure plates.

Project 4: How to Build a Railroad Track
Project 4: How to Build a Railroad Track
Layer 1: Building the Railroad - Place an iron block at the edge of your town and then place a powered rail in front of the block in the direction that you want it
to go. Then place a detector rail in front of the powered rail. Repeat the process of the rails until you're happy with the distance. After that, place another iron block at the end of the power rail.
Layer 2: The Transportation - To finish, place a mine cart on the rail, and when you move inside the cart, the mine cart will move along the track.
