1.  There are four people in the biosphere.  If each person eats two potatoes a day, how many potatoes would they eat in a year? 2,920

2.  If each person planted 3 flowers, how many flowers would there be if there were 11 people? 33

3.  There are 40 chicks.  If a snake eats 9 of them, how many chicks are left? 31

4.  If the chickens are fed three times a day, how many times would the chickens be fed in four weeks? 84

5.  There are 150 vitamins for 6 people.  If each person eats 2 vitamins a day, will they last 2 weeks? No

6.  There are five people and 19 apples on a tree.  If each person ate 3 apples, how many apples are left on the tree? 4

7.  There are 30 ears of corn.  If the people pick off half of the corn, how much corn is left? 15
